First time for burgers at a place that sells fish
ahhhh, first times. There's absolutely a first time for everything and having my first Lunch at Bonefish Grill, is #1. My 2nd first time is having a burger at BoneFISH Grill. Mind blown. I didn't even know they had lunch, honestly, until now. I'm not complaining one bit though.
If you've never been to BF, it's your typical casual-slightly fancy dining. #TBH, back in the day my dad got sick from a dish there, so I never wanted to go. Flash forward to now when I went on New Years 14' with Khaila for some bang bang shrimp. Been hooked ever since. The restaurant has a very low-lit environment with waiters in white button ups and pumpernickel bread before meals. Casual-Chic, I'd call it. My fav part of BFG is that if the normal booth/table seating is full you can skip the wait and sit at their bar stool tables.
Every experience I've ever had was great. The food is always good, service is prompt and staff is engaging and friendly. This particular time our waitress took her time explaining the lunchtime menu to us. We were puzzled about the pesto couscous, which actually ended up being served cold as a salad. I was very pleased with this meal.
I ordered the Half-pound American Kobe Beef + Egg Burger, also adding avocado and bacon too. My side was the pesto couscous salad. Yum! Plus they had sriracha. That's a requirement for me in case you haven't noticed. The whole experience is elevated as soon as I find out there's sriracha in the building. Yasss. My mama had the Lily's Salmon, Salmon with goat cheese, artichokes and seared in a lemon basil sauce. She copied me and also ordered the pesto couscous (ok, I copied her. So what.). We also had Thai coconut shrimp as an appetizer, delightful.
