STAY: Kinlay Hostel: Galway, Ireland
January 2 2017
9:45 AM We woke up super early today to leave Dublin and head 2.5 hours West for Galway. I'd never heard of Galway, a picturesque seaside town in Ireland, before this trip. I'm excited to arrive. I fall asleep on the coach because comfy coach seats.
12:00 PM Finally. We arrive at the Galway Coach Station and quickly put in the directions to our hostel, to find that it's only a 5 minute walk, YES!
12:05 PM Kinlay Hostel in Galway is central located. Check. Cute as hell. Check. Friendly staff. Check. The desk attendant is so sweet, she calls to see if our room is ready. It wasn't ready just yet, so we head out on the town to find food. Starving at this point.
1:30 PM This coffee shop is warm and it's connected to a hotel bar, so that can only mean one thing: Guinness. We chill out here for a bit over lattes, sammies and free wifi.
After a day of exploring the windy, cobblestone streets and turning down random alleyways, we have the comfiest hostel to return to. Kinlay is one of the best hostels. Sometimes hostels get a bad rep, but this one feels a lot more like a hotel. The staff is helpful and offered us free water and towels upon arrival. Which was perfect because I didn't bring my towel.
Kinlay has free wifi, free computer use- Macbooks and free printing. SCORE! We were able to print out our boarding passes, no problemo. The rooms are comfy and cozy. We stayed in a 6 bed ensuite dorm with a perfect shower. Everything was so clean and it was pretty spacious, compared to other hostels I've stayed in.
THE VIEW THOUGH. The view of Galway city from the window just beyond my bunk was amazing. Seriously I didn't expect views like this. My favorite thing in the world are windows and balconies. Nice views can definitely make a place that much more special.
YML&T TIP: Buy your tickets for the Cliff Of Moher tour for only €20 at Kinlay.
Galway is such a quaint city filled with bookstores, coffeeshops, colorful houses and great pubs. Kinlay was a great addition to our stay in Galway. It made me realize that where you sleep while traveling is important. Accommodation can truly make or break your trip.
Wondering where to stay in Galway? Kinlay Hostel is centrally located near all the action in Galway. We were right in the heart of the city! Kinlay was the perfect complement to my time in Galway City and I'd sleep there again in a heart beat.
* Thank you to Kinlay Hostel for sponsoring this stay. All opinions are my own and I'll only ever partner with brands that I dig, because I know you will too.*
You. Me. Lunch. started as a saying between my best friend, Khaila, and I. It's been our way of saying 'see ya later' since we were seven years old. I guess you can say I'm an actual food baby.
